Presenter: Kim Musicante, OTR/L, has been an OT since 1993 working in a variety of settings. She graduated from the University of TN Health Science’s OT program. Kim's first passion was providing treatment to individuals with trauma and burns. Her next passion was contract work, where Kim learned to be an OT in almost every setting possibly. When she worked with individuals with IDD in the late 90’s, Kim learned how important an OT’s role can be to promote health and safety first before expecting one to be gainfully employed. Kim continues to promote safe oral hygiene practices during her treatment sessions to this day. Her current passion is working in 3 different settings (home health, inpatient rehab and assisted living). Kim likes to stay busy since her two boys are grown and starting their own careers. Kim's husband and third son (a pit bull) enjoy hiking and chasing waterfalls whenever they can get away, and Kim loves watching most sports.
