2011 TNOTA Awards and Student Scholarships

SUBMIT YOUR TNOTA AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIP NOMINATIONS

Each year the Tennessee Occupational Therapy Association requests submission of awards to recognize those who have made significant contributions to their profession at the state level. Selected Awardees will be named at the TNOTA State Conference (October 7 & 8, 2011).

Members are encouraged to submit several nominations. An Award Nomination form must be completed for each nomination.

In the event no appropriate nominations are submitted in a given category, the Awards Committee reserves the right to withhold the award.

All Awards require one “Reason for Nomination” essay with supportive information and contact information of three (3) nominators.

Possible TNOTA Awards Include:

1)    TNOTA Life Membership Award
2)    Outstanding TNOTA Member of the Year
3)    TNOTA Award of Excellence in

a.     Therapeutic Practice
b.     Research
c.     Administration and Management
d.     Education
e.     Fieldwork Education
f.      Leadership

4)    Student Award of Excellence
5)    Collaborative Award of Appreciation
6)    Service Award

2011 Student Scholarships

TNOTA also supports our states Occupational Therapy students through TNOTA Student Scholarships.  The money used to fund these scholarships is derived from the Silent Auction held at the previous year’s TNOTA Annual Conference.  Students currently enrolled in entry level OT or OTA programs in Tennessee and who are current members of TNOTA are eligible to apply.  The selected student(s) will be named at the TNOTA State Conference (October 7 & 8, 2011).

Deadline for submission of all awards (web-based submission) and scholarship applications (US Postal Service – post marked) this year is Saturday, September 10, 2011.
